Investigators are hopeful that developments in DNA technology, as well as new information from the community, will help to solve this case.

Windsor Police News Release

Pre-update

Windsor, Ontario — Dobson, a 36-year-old mother of three, was last seen walking along Prince Road around 5:45 p.m. on February 14, 1995. The following day, her body was discovered in a ditch at Windsor’s Brighton Beach. A preliminary investigation determined she had been violently attacked, with a fatal blow to the head identified as the cause of death.

In a release, Windsor Police Service said they continue to investigate cold cases, regularly reviewing evidence and pursuing new leads. As part of these efforts, the Major Crimes Unit will resubmit evidence for advanced DNA analysis in the hopes of identifying a suspect in Dobson's murder.
