Portage la Prairie, Manitoba — The RCMP Historical Case Unit, Portage la Prairie RCMP Detachment and Manitoba Crime Stoppers are seeking the public's assistance with solving the suspicious death of Charlene Ward.

On November 1, 2007 at 8:45 a.m., Charlene was found dead in her residence by her daughter and granddaughter.

Based on reports, a party had transpired at the residence the night before and into the early morning hours, ending at approximately 8:00 a.m.

No further details have been disclosed.

What really happened during the party that night? This event should be a key focus in the investigation.

Charlene was 46 years old.

The investigation into her death continues, and as of today January 25, 2026, this case remains open and unsolved.

Anyone with information on Charlene death is urged to come forward anonymously to the Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
